When you are addicted to the Internet.
✨ In Japan, there are cases of teenagers shutting themselves in their rooms for years, playing online games around the clock.
The only thing that keeps them from starving is meals given by their moms. One of the net addicts named Yomirui Shimbun claimed that he had dropped out from high school and got hooked on online games because he had a lot issues in reality and gaming is the only way for him to become a different person.

Can you imagine shutting yourself in the room for years just for playing games? If it was me, I would die. But for gamers, it is okay as long as they feel satisfied.
✨ There are also cases where the sister got hit by her brother in January 2006.
A 20-year-old sister was attacked by her 18-year-old brother after she scolded him for spending more time on online games than studying for his university entrance exam. She got severed a nerve in her finger. The boy's family try to hide his computer but then he picked up an oil heater and threatened his mother with it.
That is so creepy by reading this fact. Got hit and threatened the mother just because they disturbed you playing games? No, you shouldn’t do that.

Broadband Service in Japan
✨ In Japan, they have the world's fastest Internet connections.
Broadband was 8 to 30 times faster in Japan and cheaper too.
In 2007, media download speeds in megabits per second are
âš¡Japan (61); South Korea (46); Finland (21); Sweden (18); and the United States (2).
What is so interesting is, with high-speed Internet allows the doctors to diagnose disease from far away using teleconferencing for medicine and allowing more people to work at home.

✨ In the mid-2000s, a study found that older Japanese also love to surf the Internet as much as young people. A study also found that Japanese between the ages of 50 and 69 spend 2.4 hours in a day online compared to 2.5 hours for all age groups.
✨ Older individuals tend to use the net for reading the news and doing airline reservations and check out maps instead of check out blogs and engaging in online communication.

Wow, a grandpa and grandma in Japanese also use the internet in their daily life. It is rare to see the older love to surf the internet. Normally, the older love to spend their daily life with farming or doing house chores. But, we are in modern era though, so they also want to catch up something new isn’t it?
Japanese Internet Cafes
✨ Internet cafes have become a place where people with a small income can spend the night.

According to a survey in 2007 by the Health, Labour and Welfare Ministry, 5,400 people in Japan regularly spend the night in Internet or manga cafes. Half of them have unstable incomes from temporary dispatch jobs and have difficulty to find stable employment with a permanent address.
✨ The survey has found that 26.5 per cent of cafe refugees were in their 20s while 23.1 per cent were in their 50s. Men accounted for 82.6 per cent of the refugees. The average income of those who in Tokyo was ¥107,000/RM3, 948.19 and ¥83,000/RM3, 062.61 for those who in Osaka.
✨ The survey discovered that about 60,900 people stay overnight at the Internet and manga cafes. Most of those who spend overnight were office workers who missed the last train home and needed a place to crash.
✨ People began spending the night at the Internet cafes within the early 2000s.
Some of the Internet cafes charge customer about ¥200/RM7.37 an hour. Others have a flat fee of ¥980/RM36.16, including free coffee and soft drinks. The customers that show up are typically slightly grubby men with small rucksacks bag.
